CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Cape Charles Capital Projects Manager has released an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Phase 3 of the Inner Harbor Bulkhead Rehabilitation project, signaling the town’s continued investment in harbor infrastructure. The bid notice has been published on the town’s website and in the Eastern Shore Post, with outreach underway to potential contractors.
In other developments, the Capital Projects Manager participated in a Town Council executive session to discuss key municipal issues. Planning also commenced with architectural consultant HBA for a potential alternative site for Cape Charles’ new municipal offices, as the town evaluates its options for future development.
Additionally, the town has submitted a land use permit application, along with the necessary fees, to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) for a sidewalk infill project on Strawberry Street adjacent to Central Park. This project aims to improve pedestrian accessibility in the area.
