ACCOMAC, Va. — The Accomack County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. to consider requests to remove several parcels of land from designated Agricultural and Forestal Districts in the county.
The meeting will take place in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, Room 104, at 23296 Courthouse Avenue in Accomac, and members of the public will have the opportunity to speak or submit written comments.
Pungoteague District Removal Request
The first request, submitted by Suzanne Tankard and others, seeks to remove multiple parcels from the Pungoteague Agricultural and Forestal District.
The properties are located in the 10th Block of Liberty Street near Onancock, approximately 2,000 feet west of the intersection with Hill Street. The parcels involved include:
- Tax Parcel 92-A-95B
- Tax Parcel 92-A-95B2
- Tax Parcel 92-A-95B3
- Tax Parcel 92-A-95B4
- Tax Parcel 92-A-95C
Tasley District Removal Request
A second request, submitted by Justin Annis on behalf of Vankesteren Farms Inc., seeks removal of two parcels from the Tasley Agricultural and Forestal District.
The properties are located at 21073 Fairgrounds Road near Tasley, approximately 2,500 feet west of the intersection with Greenbush Road. The parcels include:
- Tax Parcel 85-A-60
- Tax Parcel 85-A-52

Residents and interested parties are encouraged to attend the hearing and provide comments. Written comments may also be submitted for consideration.
