June 2024 – FLOCK was utilized to identify vehicles leaving a gang-related drive-by shooting. A young female high school student (uninvolved) was shot while inside her home. Multiple homes sustained damage from the gunfire. After the drive-by shooting, opposing gang members chased the shooter’s vehicle, and another shootout ensued at a nearby intersection. An uninvolved resident’s home was shot through during this exchange of gunfire. The utilization of Flock assisted law enforcement in the investigation, leading to five (5) arrests of violent gang-related shooting offenses.
July 2025 – FLOCK was utilized to develop suspects’ vehicles leaving the scene of a shooting at a “Block Party”. A female was shot at the scene when a fight broke out between rival gang members. Investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time due to lack of cooperation from the victim.
January 2026 – NCSO assisted the Virginia State Police in surveilling a vehicle traveling South on Lankford Highway. The vehicle/occupant was a target of an ongoing drug investigation. The vehicle was stopped, and Ketamine (13 kilograms) and Psilocybin Mushrooms (7 pounds) were seized ($900K street value).
February 2026 – NCSO contacted by US Marshals Service and advised of a wanted person (out of Florida) possibly hiding in Northampton County. The male suspect was wanted for Possession of Child Pornography (9 counts), Transmission of Child Pornography (4 counts), Solicitation of Child Pornography (39 counts), and Lewd and Lascivious Image of a Minor (1 count). A vehicle description and residence address were provided to NCSO. NCSO utilized FLOCK to surveil the vehicle and make a traffic stop to apprehend the wanted subject.
March 2026 – FLOCK was utilized to identify suspects’ vehicles leaving the scene of a shooting between gang members. Two males were shot during the exchange. One arrest has been made at this time. Additional arrests are forthcoming. March 2026 – An elderly man with dementia was reported missing from Cape Charles. Flock was used to track the man’s movements, as he was in a vehicle and had traveled out of the area, prompting a “Silver Alert” to be issued. A custom hotlist was created for the vehicle he was in, and later that day, the man returned to the area. A hotlist alert helped locate him and ensured his safe return to his family.
March 2026 – NCSO was alerted (via FLOCK) to a stolen vehicle traveling South on Lankford Highway. Once verified through dispatch, the vehicle was stopped by NCSO and recovered. The driver of the stolen vehicle was also found to be wanted in Maryland on outstanding warrants and in possession of controlled substances (Schedule I/II). May 2026 – NCSO was alerted (via FLOCK) to a wanted suspect traveling South on Lankford Highway through Northampton County. Suspect was wanted in North Carolina for Sexual Assault of a Minor (2 counts). After verifying through NCSO dispatch, the suspect was located and arrested.
June 2026 – NCSO utilized FLOCK to surveil and locate a vehicle belonging to a suspect in relation to an ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) investigation. NCSO had obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s phone and needed to locate the suspect. search warrant was executed.
August 2026 – FLOCK alerted NCSO of a wanted person’s vehicle traveling South on Lankford Highway. After verification of warrants and identification, the suspect was stopped and arrested for brandishing a Firearm warrant out of Accomack County. A firearm was also recovered during the stop. August 2026 – suspects were identified in a recent burglary. Charges pending. Multiple drug (cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine) seizures and arrests were attributed to the utilization of Flock Cameras over the past year.
