CAPE CHARLES, Va. — Cape Charles is making progress on several key infrastructure projects, including the redevelopment of the library building and improvements to the town’s pedestrian network.
The town’s Capital Projects Manager reported continued work on the third floor and rear mezzanine of the library building, part of a broader redevelopment initiative. Coordination is ongoing to finalize the sale of three properties associated with the project.
Meanwhile, analysis of potential sites for a new municipal building has been completed, with a draft presentation provided to the Town Manager for review.
On the infrastructure front, crews have finished excavation, forming, and laying the stone base for a new sidewalk on Fig Street. Concrete pouring is expected to begin next week, marking a significant step in the project aimed at enhancing pedestrian safety and accessibility.
Redevelopment alright. Real estate development. You put all this money into redevelopment and renovations just to GIVE IT AWAY. Is the town divorcing itself?
No the town manager learn their lesson when they sold the high school for $10.00. The library will be sold for $25.00!
The cost of give aways are going up!
I wouldn’t doubt it. But more like 25 dollars on paper and the other 249,975 dollars spread out between bank accounts and deep pockets.
