CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Cape Charles Planning Commission has scheduled a public hearing and regular meeting for Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will address a conditional rezoning application received by the commission’s office.
The application pertains to the property located at 711 Tazewell Avenue/302 Fig Street, also known as the Fig Street Inn. The proposal seeks to rezone the property from Residential-1 (R-1) to Commercial Residential (CR).
Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to attend the meeting to provide their input and learn more about the potential rezoning and its implications for the community. The Planning Commission will consider public feedback as part of their deliberation on the application.
This meeting represents an important opportunity for community engagement and discussion regarding the future development of the Fig Street Inn property.
