CAPE CHARLES — The Town of Cape Charles is inviting contractors to submit bids for the construction of a new concrete sidewalk along the west side of Fig Street.
According to town officials, sealed bids will be accepted until 11 a.m. on February 10, 2026. Bids may be delivered in person to Cape Charles Town Hall, 412 Tazewell Ave., Cape Charles, VA 23310, or submitted electronically via email to bob.panek@capecharles.org.
All bids will be publicly opened and read at the specified time.
An official Invitation for Bid (IFB) package is available through the town’s website via the posted link and may also be picked up in person at Town Hall during regular business hours.
The project is part of the town’s ongoing sidewalk infill and pedestrian safety efforts, which aim to improve walkability and connectivity throughout Cape Charles.
Town officials noted that the municipality reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in submitted proposals. Any bids received after the stated deadline will be returned unopened.
Additional information and project specifications are included in the Invitation for Bid package.
