CAPE CHARLES, VA – The Cape Charles community will gather to celebrate the life of Smitty Dize during the town’s Annual Cape Charles Day Picnic. The event will take place on March 15th at 12:00 p.m. at the Cape Charles Harbor Pavilion and will serve as a tribute to Dize’s contributions to the town and its maritime community.
A memorial bench will be placed at the harbor in Dize’s honor, commemorating his lasting impact. Those who wish to contribute to the memorial can contact Tammy Holloway at (703) 989-1729 or donate by check to the Town of Cape Charles.
Friends, family, and residents are invited to attend this special gathering to share memories and honor Dize’s legacy.
