CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Cape Charles Historic District Review Board is set to meet on March 18 at 5 p.m. at the Cape Charles Civic Center to consider several property modification requests within the historic district.
Among the items on the agenda is a request from Ian C. Markley regarding 1 Monroe Avenue. Markley seeks approval to stain the existing brick on the single-family dwelling and install a fence, a pergola, and a hot tub with screening.
Brian and Colleen Marden, represented by Coastal Craftsman Builders, LLC, have submitted an application for modifications at 208 Bay Avenue. Proposed changes include replacing the front porch flooring, constructing a rear screened-in porch and an accessory structure, and installing two outdoor showers, a pathway, a parking pad, and a fence.
Lou Ellen Blackwelder, represented by QS LLC, has requested approval to construct a rear addition to the single-family dwelling at 509 Harbor Avenue.
Joseph Dudek has submitted an after-the-fact request for the completion of a rear accessory structure at 509 Madison Avenue.
The Historic District Review Board will evaluate these proposals to ensure compliance with preservation guidelines before rendering a decision.
