CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Cape Charles Town Council will convene in Executive Session on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cape Charles Civic Center, located at 500 Tazewell Avenue.
According to the agenda, the meeting will begin with a roll call and confirmation of a quorum before the Council votes to enter a closed session. The session will be held in accordance with Code of Virginia § 2.2-3711(A)(3), which permits closed discussions concerning “the acquisition of real property for a public purpose, or the disposition of publicly held real property” when open deliberation could adversely affect the town’s bargaining position or negotiating strategy.
The specific purpose of the closed session is to review an appraisal and discuss related findings.
No formal action is expected until the Council reconvenes in open session following the private discussion.
