Pet of the Week: Meet Petey

September 13, 2020 by Wayne Creed Leave a Comment

Currently, the SPCA is open by appointment only. We are getting applications approved prior to arranging visits; dog visits take place in our yard. Email shorespca@gmail.com if you’d like to apply to visit or adopt Petey.

❤ Meet Petey ❤

Petey is a very senior boy at 14 years old. He’s lived with his dad forever and is here only because Dad is no longer able to care for him due to health reasons. Petey is very sweet, but a little scared here being in a kennel. He loves treats and will stick by your side trying to convince you to give him more.He appears to be housetrained and is up to date on vaccines, already neutered and heartworm negative.

Petey

He’ll probably need some spa appointments throughout the year as he has lovely soft curly hair. Petey is barely medium size, weighing only 30 lbs. This sweet boy is hoping someone will accept him for the little old gentleman that he is and make him part of their family. We don’t know yet how he does with other dogs, cats or children.

Eastern Shore SPCA has Kittens to adopt

September 6, 2020 by Wayne Creed Leave a Comment

We have sweet kittens who need loving homes!

Meet Carla

I’m Carla and I am only 9 weeks old. I am a real sweetheart.I am litter box trained and live with several other kitties. Of course, I love to play, eat, nap, and repeat.

I am old enough now to start my vaccines and have been dewormed a couple of times; I am negative for FeLV/Five. I can only be adopted by residents of Accomack or Northampton county, VA, as I am still too young to be spayed, which is required by law.

If you’re interested in adopting me or any of my friends, you need to request an application by emailing shorespca@gmail.com.

Pet of the Week: Meet Sprite

August 23, 2020 by Wayne Creed Leave a Comment

If you’re looking for a playful, sweet, cuddle-buddy then this kitten is for you!

About Sprite

Hi, I’m Sprite and I’m a lovely orange/white male kitten about 7 weeks old. I’m already litter box trained. I’ll start my vaccines shortly, as I’m still a little too young for them, but I have been dewormed a couple of times and I tested negative for FeLV/FIV.

I am also too young for neuter just yet, so I can only be adopted to Accomack or Northampton county, VA residents at this time, because I will have to come back for my neutering.

If you’re interested in adopting, please email shorespca@gmail.com and request an adoption application. We are only making appointments for visits after we’ve approved applications.

Pet of the Week: Help Eastern Shore Regional Animal Control Facility Find Sweet Dog a Home

August 16, 2020 by Wayne Creed Leave a Comment

This old granny has been through the wringer in this lifetime and would love a soft spot to land. It seems that she has sustained injuries in her lifetime that have now left her arthritic.

She weighs in around 40 pounds but is in poor body condition so she could definitely use some extra groceries where ever she settles. #20443 is quiet and friendly – a lovely old-timer who enjoys gentle pets on her weathered body.

She is eligible for adoption by residents of Northampton and Accomack County or to be transferred to an approved rescue or shelter. Can you help an old lady out? Call our local shelter at 757-787-7091 to get more info about her. — at Esracf Melfa.

Call the Eastern Shore SPCA Tuesday-Saturday (10am-2pm) for an appointment to meet sweet Mona. 757-787-7385

About Mona

Hi, I’m Mona and I’m a lovely hound girl, around 3 years old. I’m a nice medium size, weighing 40 lbs.I am very outgoing and love being with people. I have a female hound friend here. I’m pretty athletic and can go over a fence, so you’ll need to always keep me on a leash. I am up to date on vaccines and have been spayed already, but tested positive for heartworms. I have completed the shots to kill the heartworms and can be adopted and go home.

Pet of the week: Meet Darcy

July 12, 2020 by Wayne Creed Leave a Comment

This little lady is such a love bug and is waiting for her very own human. You can call us at the Eastern Shore SPCA Tuesday-Saturday (10am-2pm) to make an appointment to meet Darcy. 787-7385

❤ About Darcy ❤
Hey, I’m Darcy and I’m only 1 year old. I’m shepherd/lab mix, weighing 55 lbs. I still have lots of puppy energy and need plenty of exercise.

I need an adult only home, and to be the only pet. I want all the attention for myself, and I just don’t like most dogs/cats. For the right home, I’ll make a wonderful, loving companion.

I love people and will wear you out playing fetch. I love belly rubs and often try to get in your lap to get them. I enjoy going for walks.

I am heartworm negative and on prevention, up to date on vaccines and I am already spayed
