Hey there, I’m Pepe and I’m a Rat Terrier/chihuahua mix neutered boy. I’m pretty small, weighing only 12 lbs. and I’m only 4.5 years old. I let the Chihuahua take over at times and can get a little grumpy, so I’m not suited to a home with children.

Preferably, my new family will know, and love, chihuahuas with all their quirks and bad reputation. I’ll make an excellent family member for the right people.

I love my squeaky toys and often run to get it when anyone walks by my kennel, and I parade around with it so proudly. I’m pretty much house-trained, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention.

Hey, I’m Patches and I’m a Shih Tzu/Terrier/Chihuahua mix, around 8 years old. I’m a small girl, weighing only 10 lbs. I’m a fiesty gal who is better suited to an adult only home. I started out pretty scared here for the first few days, but settled right in after that and have been a nice little gal. I was going out with small, older gals like myself and did just fine around them.

I have a grade 2 heart murmur and tested positive for heartworms. I was able to be spayed without complications, though. I’ve started antibiotics, for the first step towards getting rid of heartworms. But, I’ll stay here, at the shelter, until after Thanksgiving, at least.

I’ll need a special home that understands I’m cute as a button, but have the personality of a Chihuahua. I like to go out for walks and I’m pretty sweet after I get to know you.

About Trapper
Hi, I’m Trapper and I’m a Hound. I’m only around 3 years old, and a little underweight at 45 lbs. I am a lovely dark tan color all over! I seem to be ok with other dogs my size, but haven’t been around cats, small dogs or children yet.

I am friendly with everyone I’ve met so far. I am up to date on vaccines, already neutered and heartworm negative. If you’re looking for an active boy, stop in and visit me-I may be just the perfect fit.

About Chubby
Hi, I’m Chubby and I’m a 4 year old male St. Bernard mix, maybe? Could be Spaniel, Aussie, or other breeds. What is for sure is that I am a real sweetheart, whatever breeds go into making me! I love meeting people and go out with a female dog who’s very low key. I haven’t met any high energy dogs yet, or been introduced to children. I am a nice medium size, weighing 50 lbs., and have only a nub tail that is constantly wagging.

I’ve had a hard life up to this point, living outside the whole time. My coat is still in very poor condition even though I’m on a much better food now. One of my ears has no hair from being eaten by flies, and may never have hair there again. I do, of course, have heartworms, since I’ve never been to a vet in my life. I’ve started anitbiotics, which I’ll take until Halloween. Then, I’ll get the shots to get rid of the heartworms.

I’ll stay here for at least 2 weeks after those shots, so I’ll probably be able to go home a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving, if a family decides I’m the guy for them. I have been neutered and am up to date on vaccines

Eastern Shore SPCA has some new residents that are in need of some hugs, puppy kisses, and little belly rubs. They are open from 10 am-2 pm.

Hi there, I’m Rex and I’m only 4.5 months old. According to the previous owner, I am a Spitz mix. I’m pretty small, weighing only 11 lbs. I am a rambunctious baby, with never-ending puppy energy.

I enjoy cuddling and love playing. I won’t be a good fit for small children because I still need to understand I can’t chew on hands, as well as needing to be taught all the good manners that puppies need to learn.

I love playing with squeaky toys and thoroughly love a game of tug. I’m learning to walk on a leash now. I’m up to date on vaccines for my age and have started heartworm prevention.

Lady and Delilah are 2-year-old bonded sisters that need to stay together. When separated, they cry for each other. They are Shih Tzu mixes and will require regular grooming to keep their hair from becoming matted. Weighing around 20 lbs each, they could stand to lose a bit of weight as they’re pretty plump.

These girls are extremely loving and very happy to climb all over you to give lots of kisses! They are already spayed and up to date on vaccines; heartworm negative and on prevention. If you’re looking for 2 dogs, check these ladies out-you won’t be disappointed.
