The Cape Charles Town Council and Planning Commission will hold a joint work session on November 9th at 6:30. The Land Use and Community Design Chapter, including the Future Land Use Map as well as the Existing Zoning Map will be presented. Additional Future Land Use Designation Categories have been added:
• Residential – while there is a Land Use Designation of Historic Downtown Residential, there is not a more “generic” residential category which could be applicable on the Keck/Angelo Manuel/workforce housing possible project off of Old Cape Charles Road. This was based upon the position that these two parcels should not be shown as Entrance Corridor
• Mixed Use – with characteristics of Commercial and Residential along with Community Facilities – this could also be applicable to the Keck/Angelo Manuel/workforce housing possible project off of Old Cape Charles Road as well as the lot next to Rayfield’s Pharmacy where there has been interest from the Town residents to locate some recreational services/amenities there.
