The Eastern Shore of Virginia Tourism Commission has announced the hiring of Anna Huff as its new Marketing Coordinator, a move officials say will strengthen regional tourism promotion and visitor engagement efforts across the Eastern Shore.
Huff, a Texas native, will begin her new role on May 11. She brings a background in tourism marketing, community engagement and sustainable destination development, having recently earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Tourism Sciences from Texas A&M University.
According to the commission, Huff’s professional experience includes serving as a teaching assistant at Texas A&M, interning at the National Museum of the Pacific War and working at Walt Disney World.

Tourism officials said those experiences helped shape Huff’s approach to destination marketing, with an emphasis on highlighting the unique character, culture and attractions that make communities memorable for visitors.
The commission said Huff will assist with regional marketing campaigns, visitor outreach and promotional initiatives designed to support tourism-related businesses and strengthen the Eastern Shore’s profile as a travel destination.

Happened again! The hiring of someone that has little if not zero experience of life on the Shore. I’m sure she is a wonderful person but how can being a Disney employee help her to promote the sure? This isn’t fantasy land.
I bet she voted for Kamal-Toe, Sleepy-Joe, Crooked-Hillary and Bath-house Barry (if she was old enough).
Dang, there you all go again. This lady deserves more than a double rude welcome.
She deserves an apology.
If I was her I’d be thinking WTF did I get myself into. What kind of people live around here? Is this normal behavior in these parts??
I’m sorry. Most people who live on the Shore are fairly rational.
The Shore’s a great place to live.
It was a great place to live until everyone moved here and decided to make it like where they came from instead of excepting the ES for the way.it was.
They refused to assimilate. Assimilation requires the new Come-Here to adopt the Host culture’s ways, often losing their original culture. Everyone has a home that they come from. If you leave your home and move to someone else’s home, buying property does not magically make it your home.
I hope she doesn’t hold her breathe.
