Davis Disposal, the Town’s contractor for trash collection services, has requested that residents ensure their trash receptacles are placed at the curb without being blocked by vehicles or other obstacles. Their trucks use automated arms to lift and empty the receptacles, and any obstruction can prevent proper collection.
Key Reminders:
- Placement: Trash receptacles should be placed at the alleyway or curbline no earlier than 5:00 p.m. on the day before collection and no later than 7:00 a.m. on the day of collection, as required by Cape Charles Town Code, Section 24-46(a).
- Removal: Receptacles must be removed from public view promptly after collection.
Your cooperation helps ensure efficient and timely trash service for the entire community. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
They should also stop blocking parking spaces with them to keep people from having a place to park. If you’ve got a business, get a dumpster or get off your lazy asses and walk your garbage down to one. You don’t need a trash can.
