EXMORE, VA — Voters in Northampton County will have the opportunity to hear directly from candidates running for Delegate and Board of Supervisors seats at an upcoming public forum scheduled for Wednesday, October 1st from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
The event, titled “A Conversation with the Candidates,” will be held at Occohannock Elementary School in Exmore and is free and open to all community members.
Featured Candidates
The forum will include candidates for several key local positions:
- House of Delegates, District 100: J.D. Mathias, Northampton District 1 Supervisor
- Northampton District 1 Supervisor: David “Jon” Dempster
- Northampton District 2 Supervisor: Ernest L. Smith, Jr.
- Northampton District 3 Supervisor: Oliver H. Bennett
Community Partnership
The forum is being co-sponsored by several prominent local organizations, including:
- Northampton County chapter of the NAACP
- Pi Sigma Omega Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
- The Accomack-Northampton Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
