This program is for fields receiving only nitrogen fertilizer, split applications will be based on soil sample results and the nutrient management plan. Application of side-dress nitrogen must be made after the corn is at the 6 leaf state or 15″ to 24″ in height.

If fields have previously received manure or biosolids, a pre-side dress nitrate test must be done when the corn is approximately 12″ tall (cost-share available for testing)
