Hi, I’m Piper and if you like Beagles, get your application in now! I shouldn’t be here too long, however, I have to stay a month to get treated for heartworms. But I can get applications and have visits with my new prospective family now.I am about 3 years old, weigh 30 lbs, and already spayed. I am a retired hunter, here with my friends, Wendy and Tulip.
We are all lucky that our former family took us to the nearest animal shelter instead of just letting us go off and something bad happen to us.
I should be good with children and dogs, but haven’t met cats yet. I have a lovely, deep Beagle Bay and love to sing to you. I will need patience while potty training, and maybe some house manners, too.
If interested in adopting me, email shorespca@gmail.com to request an application as we are not open for viewing due to COVID-19. We schedule visits after going over applications.

Beautiful little beagle! Good post, and may she find the best of homes. I was struck, however, by the sentence, “We are all lucky that our former family took us to the nearest animal shelter instead of just letting us go off ….” Wouldn’t “we” have been luckier if our former family had given “us” the basic treatment to prevent heartworms so that “our” body would not have been damaged by this potentially deadly disease or had to endure the painful treatment to cure it? Wouldn’t “we” have been luckier if our former family had, after finding “us” no good at hunting, given “us” a good indoor home with nutritious food and care, as well as regular vet visits? As someone who has gladly taken in a number of old beagles abandoned on the road or brought to my house by a third-party rescuer, I can truly say that all had experienced some kind of neglect, and all needed expensive vetting. I have nothing but contempt for the low-class former owners of this dog, who obviously used her up and then wanted only to get rid of her. There’s no need to gild this rather shabby lily.
