Russian Blues is struggling. This compact husky beauty (about 45 lbs) thought she had her forever family, but the adoption sadly fell through through no fault of hers or theirs. The shelter environment is wearing her down, and she needs a lifeline.
About Russian Blues
– Age: 2–3 years
– Size: Pint‑sized husky, sleek and stunning
– Eyes: Piercing blue, impossible to ignore
– Spay scheduled next week — she can cross state lines after Tuesday thanks to Friends of Animal Control Eastern Shore
Personality & Needs
– Under‑socialized — she needs direction, patience, and continued doggy socialization
– Best as an only dog for now, though she’s showing progress with calm companions
– Cats have startled her here — we don’t know for sure how she’ll do in a home, but typical huskies often chase, so caution is advised
– Kid‑friendly — her submissive nature makes her gentle with children
– Escape artist alert — classic husky humor: she thinks fences are puzzles waiting to be solved ![]()

Russian Blues is gorgeous, loving, and playful — but the kennel is breaking her spirit. Huskies are notorious for hating confinement, and she spends her days scanning for exits, pawing at doors, and stressing despite walks and decompression time. She deserves a home where she can thrive, not just survive.
