  1. I hope that every citizen of Cape Charles lets their appointed town council members know how they feel about this and that the council listens! If they let this valuable piece of town (citizen) owned real estate go to a private individual instead of leasing it I will know for certain that our town government has lost all common sense!

    1. I totally agree Charlene. The town did this with the school which still has me baffled to this day. This is the future…our children etc. We cannot undo the school but moving forward have to be smarter.

  2. In response to the comment above, remember that it was Cape Charles Town Council that gave away valuable public land in Central Park for $10. So it’s not a question of losing their common sense, it’s a hope that the current Town Council has gained some common sense!

    1. Your right about thst and we can only hope and pray that a very good lesson was learned for it. The same was done many years ago with the Myers property right there at the mouth of the harbor and the adjacent property around it. I was in higb school when thst took place. My parents and many other people were so upset over thst deal as well. Then look what happened there .
