On May 22, The Hotel Cape Charles Charitable Fund announced its inaugural grants to 11 local non-profits. In all, $47,000 went to support very local charities. Below is a list of recipients:

E.S. Little League $4,000
Shore Soccer $4,000
Smart Beginnings E.S. $5,000
