It’s too Late, Money corrupts and has for years.
Crooks, bottom feeders and opportunists abound.

I used to work for Cape Charles and noticed clues even then.
    A damn shame….

  3. The hump could be put to great use as a scenic overlook of sorts in our very flat locale should harbor development ever get off the ground. Far cheaper than tearing it down.

  4. I am still seething over the school being sold to the developer. We needed that basketball court for winter days such as today, it could be filled with activity as a civic center. When I lived in NYC, they took a couple old schools and would have a weekend fair with a small cover charge. Kids would have fun activities, baked goods for sale as well many local artisans selling their goods. When it was sold, part of the kiddie park was taken away that many local parents supported and participated in building. It was such wonderful thing to see the community come together to build it. The police offices could be housed there and maybe even the town offices. The possibilities were endless. It is done and those possibilities are gone. They cried about asbestos in the building which could easily be taken care of and as I understand it was on the pipes which were encapsulated. There was a way to make it work but they would not hear of it. My fantasies about an ideal community started to evaporate at that point.
