CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Cape Charles Town Manager provided an update on several ongoing initiatives this week, highlighting progress on the beachfront master planning, staffing efforts, and local development discussions.
During a recent meeting with the town’s beachfront master planning consultant, the Town Manager reported that the team is still refining the public virtual meeting room, which is expected to go live next week. This initiative aims to increase community engagement and transparency as the town plans future enhancements to its beachfront area.
In staffing news, the Town Manager conducted additional interviews for the open Treasurer position and interviewed a finalist for the town’s recruitment Request for Proposal (RFP). The selection process is part of the town’s ongoing efforts to fill key roles and ensure effective municipal operations.
The Town Manager also continued discussions with a developer regarding a potential project in Cape Charles, signaling ongoing interest in the town’s growth and development.
In financial matters, the Town Manager engaged in discussions with the Virginia Municipal Investment Pool to explore investment options that could benefit the town’s financial health.
The Town Manager provided a letter of support to Cape Charles Mini Golf, reflecting the town’s commitment to fostering local businesses.
Additionally, the Town Manager addressed three citizen reports or concerns, ensuring that community issues are being actively managed and resolved.
