Atlantic Union Bank Launches 2nd Annual “Bank on Ending Hunger” Campaign to Support Feeding America Food Banks

RICHMOND, Va. (July 30, 2026) – Atlantic Union Bank is launching its annual “Bank on Ending Hunger” campaign to help fight food insecurity across the communities it serves this summer.

From July 1 through September 30, Atlantic Union Bank will donate $1 — equivalent to up to four meals — for every new checking account opened across its footprint. Through this year’s campaign, the bank aims to help provide up to 80,000 meals to individuals and families facing hunger. 

“Summer can be one of the most difficult times for families experiencing food insecurity, particularly when children lose access to school meal programs,” said Nathalia Artus, Head of Community Impact at Atlantic Union Bank. “Through the Bank on Ending Hunger campaign, we’re proud to turn everyday banking into meaningful community impact and help support trusted Feeding America food banks serving our communities.”

At the conclusion of the campaign, donations will be distributed evenly among the bank’s primary Feeding America partner food banks across its footprint, including Maryland Food Bank, Feed More, Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and Capital Area Food Bank.

Last year’s campaign helped provide approximately 48,000 meals to people in need, and this year Atlantic Union Bank hopes to expand its impact even further.

To help raise awareness throughout the campaign, Atlantic Union Bank branches will feature blue heart displays representing each new qualifying checking account opened during the initiative.
