Post 56 of the Northampton American Legion is sponsoring a blood drive on August 30th at the Legion Hall, 21210 S. Bayside Road in Cheriton.
It has been a rough summer for the Red Cross, with weather playing a large part in many canceled drives in July. There is still a blood shortage heading into mid-August.
The Red says the need is especially critical for type “O” blood donors, however, all types are needed.
