As we approach the spring season, it’s time for the annual beach and sand maintenance at Cape Charles Beach. To facilitate this essential work and ensure the safety of town residents, their children, and pets, Cape Charles will be closing the Beach to the public beginning Monday, March 4th, through Friday, March 8th.
Please note that depending on weather conditions and project progress, the maintenance work may extend through the weekend. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation during this period.
The presence of heavy machinery and maintenance activities necessitates the temporary closure of the beach. The town asks that folks observe the posted signs and refrain from accessing the beach area during this time.
The Public Works crew will be working to enhance one of the Town’s beach in preparation for the upcoming season. Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated as they strive to maintain and improve the beauty and functionality of Cape Charles Beach.
The town will keep you informed of any updates regarding the duration of the maintenance work.
