CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Capital Projects Manager for Cape Charles shared updates on several key infrastructure and redevelopment projects during a recent town report, underscoring progress on critical water system improvements and the Library Redevelopment project.
In collaboration with the town attorney and the Virginia American Water (VAW) project manager, significant strides were made in preparing property transactions necessary for constructing the KW1 and KW2 well pipelines connecting to the water treatment plant. These pipelines are crucial to enhancing the town’s water infrastructure.
Discussions also took place regarding construction bids for the return potable water line to the well sites. The Capital Projects Manager worked closely with the VAW project manager and the Town Manager to evaluate bids and ensure a timely and cost-effective solution.
In support of the Library Redevelopment project, the manager provided additional details to the town attorney for drafting a new access easement. This easement, running from Pine Street across town properties, is a vital component of the redevelopment plans.
The Capital Projects Manager emphasized the importance of these projects in meeting the town’s growing needs. “These initiatives are part of a comprehensive effort to enhance Cape Charles’ infrastructure and community assets, ensuring they remain sustainable and accessible for years to come,” the manager stated.

Sounds like someone’s mad that they only make $15/hour. This town will be so much better once all the locals are forced out. But I’m pretty sure most everyone that complains on this site doesn’t actually live in town anymore, or never did.
