  1. Thanks for calling attention to these beauties all around. My camellias are covered with holiday red blooms all over, happily fliwering in my 1-year old garden, and the magnolia in the alley is begging to use its glossy leaves indoors in a mantle or table centerpiece combined with the holly’s red berries and cut a few tendrils of English ivy to finish the arrangement. Red is for merry, happy holidays Cape Charles.

    1. Yes, Metty, you have some lovely things growing in your yard. Keep up the good work so that we can all be beneficiaries of your green thumb!

  2. There are two pictures missing from this article. The picture of the Chesapeake Properties flower bed and the Ligularia blooming outside of Voijier. You can easily see them by walking or driving in town.

Oh, and then there is the picture of the plastic flowers that you might want to see …

  3. As a mountain lover who thinks of visiting ocean communities during warm seasons, I now have a yearning to come to Cape Charles for the holidays!
I have visited and strolled the streets of your charming town, but never at Christmas. Cape Charles is abound with natural Christmas colors! Your hollies are pregnant with berries; I want to see the eye popping prickly pear cactus blooming! My Sasanqua Camellia has tight buds as we prepare for our first snowfall in the north Georgia mountains, while yours are showing off for the holidays!
Thanks for sharing the secrets of your beautiful little town. Everyone, keep on gardening! As for the plastic flowers, well, please remember to replace as they fade.
    Merry Christmas, Cape Charles!
