Science and Philosophy Seminar of the Eastern Shore of Virginia has scheduled a
seminar, “Death Sentence: “Cruel and Unusual” Medical Treatment of the
Imprisoned”.
The free 90-minute seminar will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 10 in Room
148 of the Academic Building of Eastern Shore Community College, 29300 Lankford
Hwy, Melfa, VA 23410.
Dr. Fournier will discuss the mistreatment, malpractice and callous indifference afforded
to prisoners in some Florida jails based upon his recent experience as an expert witness in
several cases
Fournier is Professor Emeritus of Family Medicine and Internal Medicine at University
of Miami; he retired to the Shore 12 years ago.
