The fourth annual Eastern Shore of Virginia Tourism Summit, VisitESVA, will be held on Monday, April 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Eastern Shore Community College. Topics covered at the summit include agritourism, the Main Street program and a review of the 2017 tourism marketing program. There will also be a preview of the new regional tourism website for Virginia’s Eastern Shore. Admission is free, lunch will be provided and there will be giveaways. To register call (757) 787-8268.

Main Street is a systematic approach to transforming struggling towns and cities into places where residents and visitors want to be. Some of our towns are aligning to this valuable program, and we’ll take a look at it, but also focus on how even small and incremental changes can have a significant impact on a town’s sense of place. You’ll also meet a panel of local people who are helping to re-imagine their towns.
