The FBI announced on Tuesday that NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace was not the victim of a hate crime and that a door pull rope fashioned like a noose which was found in his garage at Talladega Superspeedway had been there since as early as October last year. NASCAR president Steve Phelps said, “this is the best result we could hope for,” adding that NASCAR would continue its investigation as to why the rope was fashioned into a noose. The incident comes less than two weeks after the organization banned display of the Confederate flag at all racing events.
Maybe, just maybe somebody knew what they were doing and used a bowline knot, which is superior to almost any other type of pull device on the market?

I’m a racing fan and a NASCAR fan. It was not a bowline knot. It was a noose.
If you spend a lot of time in garages, like any other business, there are breaks and downtime. That time is filled with any kind of activity for men that like to be good with their hands. I can’t tie knots for sh#t. I’ve sure tried though. Whoever tied this noose had talent. The released picture sure made it look like the real deal. It looks like a perfect noose.
So what !
I stopped watching NASCAR for 5 years when #3 hit that wall in Daytona. I knew he was the bridge from the old to the new, and I was not wrong. He taught the NASCAR what marketing was, add he was real good at it. These days NASCAR takes stabs at marketing, and trying to improve the size of their fan base, but they are amateurs, and sometimes terrible at it. This is a perfect example of their amateurism.
They all knew that noose had been there a long time. They played to the media and the mob. They got their attention. Their 15 seconds of fame. NASCAR knew little other sports are on t.v. so they got their ratings and the media played into their hands. The anti racism card was pulled out of their sleeve and they all got to push Bubba’s car for him as their displayed moment of solidarity. Quite the picture perfect moment to cry out to new national sponsors, and for new fans of color. Sure, I can see right through it as an overplayed hand. So what. It’s a heck of a lot better than burning down towns and tearing down statues.
I’m only surprised CNN hasn’t shown me video of some BLM member screaming that Bubba is an Oreo and that it was a racist moment with NASCAR demonstrating Bubba can’t run his own car. Proof positive BLM doesn’t watch NASCAR ?
