Cobia are still the big news with big fish being found throughout the lower Chesapeake Bay. Remember the new regulations: anglers only able to keep one fish of at least 40 inches a day, with no more than two to a boat. Only one of those can measure longer than 50 inches. Also, anglers are not allowed to use a gaff to land a cobia.
Nightime is producing Big red drum action. Elsewhere along the CBBT, sheepshead, triggerfish, spadefish (the 3rd and 4th island of the CBBT) and flounder are working. Medium size croaker have been reported near Kiptopeke.
