A grand jury in Manhattan indicted former President Donald Trump on Thursday afternoon according to numerous sources.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg confirmed on Thursday that a grand jury has indicted Trump over allegations related to an alleged hush-money payment to Stormy Daniels. The indictment, however, remains under seal, and the exact charges will not be publicized until Trump is arraigned, which is expected to take place next week.
Trump’s lawyer told NBC News that the former president — who lives in Florida — is expected to surrender in Manhattan early next week. Like any defendant, Trump will be fingerprinted, photographed, and read his Miranda rights.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), accused Bragg of “irreparably” damaging the country “in an attempt to interfere” in the election. “The American people will not tolerate this injustice, and the House of Representatives will hold Alvin Bragg and his unprecedented abuse of power to account,” McCarthy tweeted.
Will the indictment stand? Harvard Law School emeritus professor Alan Dershowitz predicted a judge will toss the case on statute of limitations grounds.
“I think the most important thing is they indicted him when he was out of New York, and that means they could have indicted him within the statute of limitations when he was out of New York. The statute of limitations is way expired,” Dershowitz explained on Newsmax. “They claimed they couldn’t have indicted him because he was outside of New York, but now they’ve indicted him when he’s not in New York.”

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office has fired back at House Republicans who are demanding documents and testimony about their case against former President Donald Trump, calling the GOP lawmakers’ demands “unlawful political interference” in an ongoing criminal case.
In a letter sent Friday to three top House Republican chairmen, Leslie B. Dubeck, the general counsel for Bragg’s office, slammed their “baseless and inflammatory allegations that our investigation is politically motivated.”

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg fulfilled a major campaign promise with his indictment of former President Donald Trump last Thursday, but the move raised larger questions about the safety of New York streets under his watch.
Victim Rights NY founder Jennifer Harrison slammed the activist DA for being “completely incompetent” as she joined Fox News Channel’s “Lawrence Jones Cross Country” Saturday.
“From day one, Alvin Bragg announced that he would not prosecute even the most violent of criminals,” she said.
“Almost immediately after he took office and distributed the now-infamous day-one memo, two police officers lost their lives, a 19-year-old girl was shot and killed while working at a Burger King in Harlem, he’s downgraded 52% of felonies and only has about a 50% conviction rate.”
She said her victim advocacy group called for Bragg to be removed from office from the beginning, claiming members of her organization saw Bragg’s soft-on-crime policies on the horizon and, since he took office in January 2022, things have gotten “progressively worse.”
“In Alvin Bragg’s New York, you can literally get away with murder.”
“Criminals are absolutely above the law… his excuse is discovery reform, a policy he supports, by the way, and he doesn’t have enough resources to make sure New Yorkers don’t get killed by taking very violent people off the streets, but he has the resources to prosecute a former president on charges that everyone else decided he couldn’t be prosecuted for?”
“I think people have had enough,” she continued.
Linda Clary, the mother of a murder victim who also joined Saturday’s show, said career criminals took her son’s life under Bragg’s watch as she homed in on his refusal to address concerns over skyrocketing crime.
“He’s basically a revolving door,” she told Jones.
“No one is safe in New York until these people are behind bars, and clearly the reform programs are not working.”
And what a convoluted piece of crap this Trump indictment is, but hey, people, we are dealing with a DEMOCRAT persecution, er, sorry, prosecution, so weird and surreal are the order of the day as we see by going to a Reuters story just out titled “Trump charged with hush-money scheme to boost 2016 election chances” by Karen Freifeld, Jody Godoy and Luc Cohen on April 4, 2023, where we have as follows, to wit:

BUT, Trump was not indicted on any violations of election laws as we shall see, nor is there any evidence that he did violate any election laws, so that is a blatant inflammatory political statement, which is what we can expect from a DEMOCRAT, so back to the story we go again:
Prosecutor Chris Conroy said: “The defendant Donald J. Trump falsified New York business records in order to conceal an illegal conspiracy to undermine the integrity of the 2016 presidential election and other violations of election laws.”
While falsifying business records in New York on its own is a misdemeanor punishable by no more than one year in prison, it is elevated to a felony punishable by up to four years when done to advance or conceal another crime, such as election law violations.

And there are more blatant inflammatory political statements because there is no evidence of a conspiracy to undermine the integrity of the 2016 presidential election.
Going back to the story, we find that nothing now will happen until the next hearing set for Dec. 4, and a trial may not even get under way for a year.
And then we have SOFT ON REAL CRIME WINDBAG Alvin Bragg coming front and center from stage right to blow some smoke up our ***** as follows:

You have to laugh out loud at that statement given the white-glove treatment this same Alvin Bragg gives to the real criminals in the DEMOCRAT-CONTROLLED CRIMINAL FRIENDLY CRIMINAL SANCTUARY CITY of New York.
And here we go back to the punch line and some serious double-talk, to wit:
Bragg’s office did not charge Trump with violating election laws.
“Under New York state law, it is a felony to falsify business records with intent to defraud and intent to conceal another crime.”
“That is exactly what this case is about – 34 false statements made to cover up other crimes,” Bragg said.

Uh, what other crimes, Alvin – the candid world would like to know why, if there were these other “crimes,” you didn’t indict him on them?
With Trump’s indictment, we’ve entered a new stage of election rigging. Democrats are using the justice system to attack opponents, hinder their campaigns, or exclude them from running. Trump has endured the Russian hoax, false FISA warrants, the Mueller investigation, two failed impeachments, the Mar-a-lago raid, and now this witch hunt by a NY DA!
Millions of us don’t trust the DA, the FBI, the DOJ, or Biden! We want the President that won our last election…Trump!
The USA is under a dark cloud of Democrat fraud, corruption, and deception. The cloud won’t lift until we have honest elections!

Woe to us, indeed, but such is the way things go in a third-world banana republic with a doddering, drooling dictator named Joe Biden, and since this is New York State law we are dealing with, some background information is in order, especially as to how this Alvin Bragg, a former New York state deputy attorney general who had previously clashed with Trump’s company in civil suits, and who ran for office with a promise to go after Trump, a political hit of a lifetime, which makes Bragg the very first in this nation’s history to successfully rig criminal charges against an ex-US president, was able to bootstrap misdemeanor charges of falsifying business records, NY Penal Law S 175.05 Falsifying business records in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, into NY Penal Law S 175.10 Falsifying business records in the first degree, a class E felony, defined as follows:
A person is guilty of falsifying business records in the first degree when he commits the crime of falsifying business records in the second degree, and when his intent to defraud includes an intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof.

But first of all, statutes of limitations for a “crime” which allegedly happened in October 2016, which is six years and six months ago now!
In NY, the statute of limitations for misdemeanors is two years, and the statute of limitations for felonies is five years.
Does that make a difference when a DEMOCRAT is gunning down an ex-president the DEMOCRATS, including the senile dictator Joe Biden, all hate with a passion to get his name in lights with maybe a movie and book deal in the making?
Of course not!
Should it be sufficient to get the charges tossed?
In corrupt New York?
Hard to say!
And as to the bootstrapping, and rigging a grand jury, which is clearly what happened here, given the proceedings are secret, so a DA can steer the grand jury anywhere he wants to take them, hence the old saying about a DA being able to indict a ham sandwich in NY, we need to go to a CBS article titled “Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg saw case against Trump as potentially ‘charge ready’ years ago” by Graham Kates, where we have Alvin, who looks like he eats very well, stating as follows after some relevant history:
Cohen entered a guilty plea to federal tax evasion and campaign-finance violations in 2018, in connection with a $130,000 “hush money” payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Cohen, who was previously Trump’s lawyer, was sentenced to 3 years in prison.
He has since said the former president directed him to make the payment to prevent Daniels from speaking publicly about an alleged affair, and cover up the payment — allegations Trump has strenuously denied.
The charging document in Cohen’s case describes him scheming with a person referred to as “Individual-1,” an alleged “co-conspirator” who was not named but who the document notes became president of the United States in 2017.
Bragg noted the “Individual-1” moniker in the 2020 interview.
“If the reporting about it has been accurate and you know, I mean, the Southern District of New York had a charging instrument where apparently the president was Individual-1, right?” Bragg said, later adding, “a co-conspirator of someone who pled guilty and, you know, has said that the president was his co-conspirator.”
“And so, presumably, the evidence is there.”
“And if it’s a matter of, kind of, prosecutorial discretion, I mean, if they’ve already said it in a charging instrument.”
“So I presume it could be, you know, accurate and charge ready,” Bragg said.
It’s a case, Bragg noted, that federal prosecutors chose not to pursue against Trump.

And right there is the bootstrapping to jack up the misdemeanors into felonies – because the convicted criminal Michael Cohen says Trump was involved, and because Coehn is a convicted criminal that means in the mind of Alvin Bragg that of course, even though Trump was never actually charged with a crime, well, uh, you know how it is, he committed one, anyway, which is BULL****, but welcome to New York, people!

This is no longer a witch hunt, it has now escalated up to pure political persecution, and if we take a careful look at the cast of characters on the side of the persecution, starting with this Lanny Davis dude, a smarmy lawyer like Adam “SHIFTY” Schiff, who served as special counsel to President Bill Clinton and was a spokesperson for the president and the White House on matters concerning campaign finance and other legal issues, and Matthew Colangelo, who Bragg, who seems to be getting or taking seconds and thirds when the dessert tray passes him by, hired in December to lead the “investigation,” we are heading right up the chain of political command to DEMOCRAT CENTRAL and Hussein Obama and the present dictator, the feeble-minded Joe Biden, because after Biden took office, Colangelo joined the U.S. Justice Department and was temporarily its third in command, and then became a principal deputy to Associate U.S. Attorney General Vanita Gupta, and before all of that, Colangelo served as deputy assistant to President Barack Obama.
So there we have some necessary background as to who the main actors are here, and where this is all coming from, unless we choose to willingly put blinders on and pretend that Hussein Obama would never order a political hit on a potential rival to Joe Biden, nor would DEMOCRAT CENTRAL.
