Combine all of the above with new technologies, new emergent networks, and the decentralization of conflict and you can begin to see the entire picture.
Lately, and even here, some new terms have been bandied about: “decentralized” “4g war” “networks” “emergent” “antifa”.
Over the next 40 years, this Democratic generation fundamentally altered American politics. They restructured “campaign finance, party nominations, government transparency, and congressional organization.” They took on domestic violence, homophobia, discrimination against the disabled, and sexual harassment. They jettisoned many racially and culturally authoritarian traditions. They produced Bill Clinton’s presidency directly, and in many ways, they shaped President Barack Obama’s.
The result today is a paradox. At the same time that the nation has achieved perhaps the most tolerant culture in U.S. history, the destruction of the anti-monopoly and anti-bank tradition in the Democratic Party has also cleared the way for the greatest concentration of economic power in a century. This is not what the Watergate Babies intended when they dethroned Patman as chairman of the Banking Committee.
Racial bean counters automatically attribute statistical differences between blacks and whites to racial discrimination. But they never attribute statistical differences between whites and Asian Americans to discrimination – Thomas Sowell
But it helped lead them down that path. The story of Patman’s ousting is part of the larger story of how the Democratic Party helped to create today’s shockingly disillusioned and sullen public, a large chunk of whom is now marching for Donald Trump.
But that’s just part of the story.
That a leftist mob has taken control of the capital of the global superpower and has been for several weeks. These images being sent around the world with lightning speed, and they make an impression – namely that the US is chaotic, weak, unstable, and seemingly intent on abandoning basic governance. Who benefits from this chaos?
It is the ignorance of the mob which allows its members to smear American heroes and destroy the memory of key personalities in the rise of freedom. As for ignorance, Columbia University in NYC is named after the Captain of the Seas, Christopher Columbus.
The attacks on the statues are meaningless in and of themselves. Petty crime and vandalism. What is significant is the attack on the nation’s story about itself.
George Washington- our country’s father- never told a lie. He raised a legion at his own expense which marched beneath the slogan, “Appeal to Heaven” and led our revolutionaries to glorious independence.
Abraham Lincoln- the great emancipator, brilliant orator, who guided the country through the divine scourge that was the civil war, through which the country paid for its great sin of slavery and realized the meaning of its founding.
Robert E. Lee- a noble man fighting for a cause he knew was doomed because he loved his home. A southern Hector whose skill and nobility in defeat conveys all the more honor upon the victorious Union.
And countless more men and women -of various races, creeds and origins- but each tale adding to the American story, itself a tiny part of the Western canon.
Commander Worf of Star Trek Deep Space 9 sums it up, “WORF: You are both wrong. The only real question is whether you believe in the legend of Davy Crockett or not. If you do, then there should be no doubt in your mind that he died the death of a hero. If you do not believe in the legend, then he was just a man and it does not matter how he died.”
I believe in the legend of Davy Crockett.
Paul Plante says
These images being sent around the world with lightning speed make an impression that the US is chaotic, weak, unstable, and seemingly intent on abandoning basic governance, because the US is chaotic, weak, unstable, and seemingly intent on abandoning basic governance, and that is as a result of DEMOCRACY in America, just as Athens became weak and died as a result of DEMOCRACY, which is the promotion of gross ignorance over reason.
Democracies throughout history have died violent deaths, and now, it is our turn in the barrel.
Who benefits from this chaos?
That’s easy – the dictators who are now rising.
Andy Cuomo in New York, “Blackface” Northam in the Commonwealth, ISIS in the “Autonomous Zone” in Seattle.
As to the promotion of gross ignorance, this is a copy of an e-mail I sent to press.office@exec.ny.gov on 20 June 2020, to wit:
Why don’t you people and Andy Cuomo know anything about OUR history in NYS with this ridiculous Juneteenh Executive Order issued by the governor the other day?
On March 31, 1817, long before the Civil War and the Emancipation Proclamation, the New York legislature ended two centuries of slavery within its borders, setting July 4, 1827 as the date of final emancipation and making New York the first state to pass a law for the total abolition of legal slavery.
When Emancipation Day finally arrived, the number of enslaved men and women freed was roughly 4,600 or 11% of the black population living in New York and the black community and its supporters held joyous celebrations and parades throughout the state.
Why is Andy Cuomo so ignorant of that?
Why didn’t he make that a holiday?

And the answer is because Andy Cuomo is pandering for votes and cash donations while at the same tome promoting gross ignorance in the body politic, which benefits him and no one else.
In his Juneteenth Executive Order, “King” Cuomo, a progressive Democratic Socialist, had this to say:
Friday is Juneteenth – a day to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States – and it’s a day that is especially relevant in this moment in history,” Governor Cuomo said.
“Although slavery ended over 150 years ago, there has still been rampant, systemic discrimination and injustice in this state and this nation, and we have been working to enact real reforms to address these inequalities.”
“I am going to issue an Executive Order recognizing Juneteenth as a holiday for state employees and I’ll propose legislation next year to make it an official state holiday so New Yorkers can use this day to reflect on all the changes we still need to make to create a more fair, just and equal society.”
end quotes
Ah, yes, organized mind and thought control which is another hallmark of end-stage democracy!
History as it happened is now no longer history, which is now something else entirely that is being made up along the way, as was the case with “KING” Cuomo’s JUNETEENTH DECREE!
Andy Cuomo is declaring a HOLIDAY so we can all stay home and reflect on BULL****, which is what those empty words are – “the changes we still need to make to create a more fair, just and equal society.”
This is the same Andy Cuomo who put COVID into the nursing homes in New York State “to create a more fair, just and equal society,” and this is the same Andy Cuomo who was featured in New York Daily News article entitled “Cuomo again defends Columbus amid renewed calls to remove statue” by Denis Slattery on June 11, 2020, to wit:
ALBANY — Gov. Cuomo is standing by his man.
The governor again defended New York City’s Christopher Columbus statue on Thursday, calling it a point of pride for Italian Americans like himself, as similar tributes to the explorer have been removed or targeted by protesters in recent days.
“I understand the feelings about Christopher Columbus and some of his acts, which nobody would support, but the statue has come to represent and signify appreciation for the Italian American contribution to New York,” Cuomo said during a briefing in Albany.
“For that reason, I support it.”
The governor has repeatedly maintained his support of Columbus despite opposition from both Native Americans and Latin American groups.
Last year, he dismissed calls to remove the statue, or rename Columbus Circle, as he marched in the Columbus Day parade in Manhattan.
“The Christopher Columbus statue was erected at a time when the Italian American community was being attacked,” he said at the time.
“The Christopher Columbus statue was more about solidarity with the Italian American community and respect for the Italian American community and that’s why the Italian American community was so offended that they could take down the Christopher Columbus statue.”

Out from the door of the farmhouse came a long file of pigs, all walking on their hind legs…out came Napoleon himself, majestically upright, casting haughty glances from side to side, and with his dogs gambolling round him.
He carried a whip in his trotter.
There was a deadly silence.
Amazed, terrified, huddling together, the animals watched the long line of pigs march slowly round the yard.
It was as though the world had turned upside-down.
Then there came a moment when the first shock had worn off and when, in spite of everything – in spite of their terror of the dogs, and of the habit, developed through long years, of never complaining, never criticising, no matter what happened – they might have uttered some word of protest.
But just at that moment, as though at a signal, all the sheep burst out into a tremendous bleating of:
“Four legs good, two legs better!”
“Four legs good, two legs better!”
“Four legs good, two legs better!”
It went on for five minutes without stopping.
And by the time the sheep had quieted down, the chance to utter any protest had passed, for the pigs had marched back into the farmhouse.

The future is now!

I quote from above “At the same time that the nation has achieved perhaps the most tolerant culture in U.S. history, “. Someone is living in a cave. The US is the most intolerant it has ever been, the results of the PC Police and the woke coastal liberals.
“East German Stasi Had 189,000 Informers,
About one in 100 East Germans was an informer for communist East Germany’s secret police in 1989, according to a new study. Political ideology was their main motivation, both in East and West Germany.”
“Life Under the KGB’s Watchful Eye in Russia
Everything was bugged, we were followed constantly, and even our dog knew we had a “minder.”
Now we have, in the USA, the social media mobs who have assumed the role of the thought police of the Stassi and KGB. Rumor, innuendo, half truth and character assignation are the mob currency to destroy people and businesses, history, retail stores and anything else that violates their orthodoxy. They are coming for YOU.
Thomas D. Giese says
Everybody who know anything about history knows that Christopher Columbus was a raging racist and 1/2 the humans on his ships were slaves bought in Africa. When he arrived in the New World he sold these slaves to the Native Americans for their beads, corn recipes, beach front property, shells, loin cloth, pretty feathers, and cigarettes. Tear down that wall, I’m sorry, I mean CC statues.
