Michael Strub to retire from the Planning Commission

October 22, 2023 by Wayne Creed 1 Comment

Michael Strub currently serves on the Cape Charles Planning Commission–his term will be expiring on October 31, 2023. He will not be seeking reappointment, and will instead step aside to give someone else the opportunity to serve.

Mr. Strub has served Cape Charles for over 13 years and has been a thoughtful and steady hand during some of the town’s, more tumultuous times. His tenure has left an indelible mark on the commission’s landscape, and his retirement marks the end of an era in local planning.

Mr. Strub will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to the betterment of Cape Charles. He played a pivotal role in shaping and implementing key policies that have enhanced the town’s infrastructure and improved the quality of life for its residents.

Michael has also served as the Planning Commission’s representative on the Historic District Review Board for 3 years.

He will continue to serve until his replacement is appointed.

The Mirror has fond memories of working with Michael during plays such as A Piece of Eden. Here, he plays the giant John Custis ( At home of Thomas Savage: David Head, Forrest Flynn, Wayne Creed, Mike Strub)

I still think the first 2007 Piece Of Eden was the best. Not because I was in it. (I was in it.) Adam “Striking Copperhead” Hamilton. Storyline changed after that. You can buy it on DVD for about $20.00. Anyway congratulations on your retirement.
