VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Today, a six-week ban, which is too early for many women to even know that they’re pregnant, goes into effect in Florida. Virginia is now the last state in the South without an abortion ban. Women in Florida will be forced to travel out of state, many to Coastal Virginia, to get abortion care. Missy Cotter Smasal, candidate for Virginia’s Second Congressional District, released the following statement:
“No American women should be denied access to critical health care,” said Missy Cotter Smasal, candidate for Virginia’s Second Congressional District. “Women in Florida will now be forced to travel to clinics and health centers, potentially here in Coastal Virginia, to access the healthcare they need, which in many cases is life-saving care. While abortion access is still protected here in Virginia, bans and restrictions in others can impact access to abortion in our Commonwealth. Florida’s abortion ban also underscores the urgent need to protect nationwide access. Jen Kiggans, and other anti-choice extremists in Congress, pose an alarming threat of a national abortion ban.
“I’m dedicated to fighting to protect the right to choose and women’s freedom here in Virginia and across the country. Jen Kiggans has sided with extremists and worked to restrict access to abortion at every turn. She celebrated when Roe v Wade was overturned, paving the way for the Florida abortion ban. Coastal Viriginians deserve better. I’m running to protect abortion and reproductive rights for women in Virginia and nationwide.”

Always with the extremist smear.
Let’s ask one question.
Which is worse a too tight 6 week ban or abortions performed after 20 weeks gestation?
Keep in mind the particulars. This surgical techniques involve crushing, dismembering and removal of fetus from a woman’s uterus even after it reaches an age of viability outside the mother.
In some cases, the abortion involves administration of a lethal injection into the fetal heart in utero to ensure that the fetus is not pulled out alive or with the ability to survive.

“Today, a six-week ban, which is too early for many women to even know that they’re pregnant…” And they forgot they had sex? And what does sex bring? Babies! They forgot that also? Adoption is an option.

Stop calling abortion “healthcare”! At least one person dies in every abortion, sometimes two!
