One Michigan county clerk caught a glitch in tabulation software so they hand counted votes and found the glitch caused 6,000 votes to go to Biden + Democrats that were meant for Trump and Republicans. 47 MI counties used this software.
This is going to take time to investigate, to sort out, to recount. Our votes deserve the respect of being verified so that every American knows the result is fair. If you don’t verify every vote & voter, the country will be stuck in a very dark place.
A winner will not be chosen today or tomorrow, there will be weeks of court battles, recounts and work to confirm the legitimacy of our election. It’s the best thing for the country no matter what the result is. Every LEGAL vote must be counted and any potential fraud rooted out.
If Trump loses, he loses. But right now, there is very little trust in the process, where irregularities have been flagrant and transparency lacking.

How about ZERO trust in the “process” from this American, anyway.

Note: You moronic idiots know nothing about software. They did not update it, which would have fixed the bug, and not led to miscalculations.

In the on-going passion play that is the Cape Charles Mirror which is like a trip through the various layers of Dante’s world, the moronic idiot is a necessary archetype in the drama, and to his credit, our tokenny plays that role quite well and unabashedly so.
How dull it would be, otherwise.

I’m sorry, I didn’t know that you actually did reporting and interviewed the people involved.
“Apparently, an Antrim County clerk didn’t update the software used to aggregate voting machine data and generate unofficial results, an accidental oversight that caused a miscalculation in the county’s unofficial results, Benson said.”
And yeah, I do know about software and apparently the file format is not XML but a flat file or csv file which would require a software update if something was added to the file.
Note: Ummmm….wut? The code was jacked, not the file.

One cannot expect Gizmodo to accurately report a situation. They are well known to almost always support one certain side of the equation. But please read the article referred to. Trump supporters wanted oversight. Wanted to be able to see what was going on. Gizmodo then creates a scenario and states that Trump’s team wasn’t just trying to get oversight with trained poll watchers, but rather with the loud Trump supporters at the location. That statement changes the entire article and disallows the Trump opinion on the oversight requested from being fully stated. We got Gizmodos opinion. Not the fact. Hmmmmmm………..
Personally I believe the most interesting part of the entire voting situation, and the insults being tossed back and forth here, is the software. Not only the software, but the hardware used, as in the actual voting machines themselves.
Please go to the Gizmodo article that tokenny linked us to. Early in it you get the name of the software and hardware co. for many of our voting machines. They are one and the same.
Then please go to Wikepedia and see what they say about this voting machine company.
Then please go to The Guardian articles that they started writing several years ago about who the owners of that company actually are, what country they are from, about how so much of what they do is very secretive, and the American Government and our citizens have zero ability to find out all that we need to know about these machines and what their processes really are. I think if you do that you will shake your head wondering how we ever got here and have a process like this.
I believe we have every good reason to question any software problems. An honest mistake ? Maybe. Then again maybe not. Should we be allowed to check ? Or should we presume Republicans just wanted to send bullies in to create havoc ? gheeeez…
I believe THAT is what we really should be talking about and should be finding an alternative to. The secrecy of these machines and their software.
I think we should go back to paper and pencils and no machines used. I don’t give a flying —- how long they take to count with proper oversight. I trust no one in hi tech moving my vote through machines and software if this is the decided procedure.
