About Special Olympics Virginia:
Special Olympics Virginia serves approximately 75 Special Olympic athletes on the Eastern Shore, providing them the opportunities to train and compete in Olympic type sports throughout the state. We are a social movement built on inclusion, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability. We are helping make the world a better, healthier and more joyful place — one athlete, one volunteer, one family member at a time. Using sports as a vehicle, this program addresses inactivity and social isolation by empowering its athletes with differing abilities. All proceeds of this trail ride will directly benefit Special Olympics Virginia Eastern Shore.
