Off the beaten path of Route 13, down the back roads in a small town called Belle Haven, Craddockville or Davis, Wharf (depending on who you speak to), is Camp Occohannock on the Bay.
Camp OOTB became Holy ground in 1958 and since then has served thousands of people in many groups of all denominations such as gatherings, weddings, summer camp, Emmaus walks and more. The main mission of camp OOTB is a summer camp for children of all ages to hear the word of God and build lifelong relationships that will nourish and grow their relationship with God.
As time has progressed so has the need to update this Holy ground. We are well on the way to improving the camp with donations and grants from many such as; Eastern Shore Community Foundation, United Way, Berea UMC, St. Thomas UMC and Eastern Shore Rotary Clubs. We still need your help. To date we have raised $133,652 which has been used to remodel 2 bath houses and 4 cabins. The camp still needs 6 more cabins updated as well as a new roof for the director’s house and many more minor improvements along the way.
Recently the board of directors held a recognition luncheon for all the sponsors and presented the “Giving Tree”.
While we are on the way to improvement there is still much to be done. Please consider making a donation in any amount by visiting our Website: www.ootbay.org or by mailing your donation to:
9403 Camp Lane Belle Haven VA 23306.
If you can’t donate at this time please add Camp OOTB to your prayer list and check out some great opportunities we have for upcoming summer camps.
