The Eastern Shore Bird Club will meet on Tuesday, September 13, at 7:30 p.m. at The Hermitage, 23610 North St., Onancock. The evening is free and open to the public.
Club member Clyde Morris will present the program, Birding China: A Country of Avian and Culinary Delights, which is based on his recent visits to the Southeast Coast last winter and to Sichuan Province this past spring. Besides birds and food, the program will also include his wide-ranging observations about life in modern China.
Morris, who lives in Captain’s Cove with his wife, Joelle Buffa, is a retired federal employee who last worked as the manager of the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge. The couple conducts bi-weekly shorebird surveys at the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge.
