The 64th Fall Antique Show, sponsored by the Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, will be held Saturday, November 4th and Sunday, November 5th at the Moose Lodge in Belle Haven, VA. This annual event is a hallmark of fall on Virginia’s Eastern Shore and draws patrons from the entire east coast.
The show weekend begins on Friday November 3d with the preview party offering an opportunity to get a first look at the beautiful items while enjoying a champagne/wine bar, an oyster bar from Terry Brothers, and a buffet catered by Mallard’s in Onancock.
endees can also look forward to a chance to win a $500.00 spending spree to be spent at the Antique Show. Chances to win are $10.00 and available only to an attendee of the preview party. Tickets for the preview party are $50.00 per person to be a Patron (1 person admission for the weekend) or $150 to be a Sponsor (admission for 2 for the weekend). Seventeen antique vendors from Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Virginia will offer distinctive antique furniture, art, jewelry, decoys, linens, silver and much more at this show. On Saturday and Sunday Gary Guyette of Guyette and Deeter, St. Michael’s Md. will give free decoy and sporting artwork appraisals.
On Saturday November 4th at 2:00 pm, a presentation entitled, “Antique Firearms and Military Collectibles-Their Values and Investment Potentials” will be given by Robert House. Mr. House of Classic Firearms, Virginia Beach is also owner and auctioneer of Echoes of Glory International Auction House, specializing in monthly auction sales of firearms, militaria, coins, Native Americana and antiquities. After his presentation, Mr. House will give free verbal appraisals on military collectibles. (Patrons are asked to not bring weapons).
On Sunday, another raffle for a pair of bronze swans created especially for this show by Turner Sculpture will be chosen. Raffle tickets are $10.00 or 3 for $25.00 and will be sold prior to the show at the Book Bin, all branches of Xenith Bank, Onancock Farmers Market, and the hospital gift shop as well as at the show. You do not have to be present to win.
