Jim Baugh Outdoors Shops Organics from Cape Charles Farmers Market

May 6, 2018 by 10 Comments

Organic is all the rage and JBOTV shops the Cape Charles Farmers Market for local organic products. From fresh seafood, produce, to even fresh smoked BBQ, JBOTV found it all at this quaint market on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. This raw footage will be edited and used in an upcoming cooking segment that will be featured on Jim Baugh Outdoors TV. If you like exciting fun outdoor adventure, fishing, boating, diving, and cooking from the Chesapeake Bay to Key West, please check out JBOTV right here on YouTube.

Wonderful story! Local organic produce is the way to go. The large Shore farms could split up into small farm to table businesses when they won’t get their migrant workers, and with no migrants to pick crabs, Jim could feature boiled crabs instead of crab cakes.

In Delmarva, crabs were traditionally picked by black women. What happened? Easier to have checks, I mean kids.

I have been telling folks this for years. The same crowd who can not go 15 minutes without a slug of water will pay 15-20% for a label that says Organic, when indeed, all food is Organic. Most people are just plain ignorant.

      1. Organic compounds are the result of activities of living beings while inorganic compounds are created either due to natural processes unrelated to any life form or the result of human experimentation in the laboratory.
      2. Inorganic compounds can make salt, while organic cannot.
      3. Organic compounds contain carbon, while inorganic do not.
      4. Organic compounds have carbon-hydrogen bonds, while inorganic do not.
      5. Inorganic compounds contain metal atoms, whereas organic compounds do not.
      6. Organic compounds are biological and inorganic are mineral in nature.
      7. Organic compounds are part of a class of chemical compounds the molecules of which contain carbon and hydrogen, while inorganic compounds mostly comprise of metal containing compounds even if they happen to exist in living organisms.

This is great! Always wondered with all the farms around why we didn’t have a nice Farmers market in Cape Charles!

Just 20% more for organic? Most people I know would pay 200% more for organic produce.
