When one takes the time to put the puzzle together, a picture develops. It’s right there for all to see thanks to your taking so much of your own time to piece it all together.
Yet,I do not understand how or why that article has not garnered any comment at all. Many of us that left Cape Charles, due to the rising costs of living. I miss the town so badly, but cannot afford it.
Like many who have left, I’m right outside, looking in. But some are still there. They are fighting the good fight but may as well claim it as a loss. They have had to sell almost all of the family property in town that many of their Great Grandparents worked so hard for. I know times change. Nothing stays the same, I get it. But when light is shone in some of the little dark areas, things become more visible.
From what I’ve seen with losing the school, rising costs, seemingly unlimited spending, etc…Well, it upsets me.
Note: While we usually expect attribution, we felt this sentiment was spot on, an accurate reflection of Cape Charles. We also know what can happen to people when they speak their mind around here.
