Pet of the Week: Meet Doug

June 2, 2019 by Wayne Creed Leave a Comment

This boy is looking for his very own human to love. Stop by the Eastern Shore SPCA (10am-3pm) to meet Doug and his adoptable friends.

About Doug
Hi, I’m Doug and I’m around 8 years old. I’m a nice medium size boy, weighing 52 lbs. I am a Hound and have a lot to say (I have a lovely, deep hound voice). I am as sweet as they come, and love to clown around (if you’re not laughing with me, I don’t know what would make you laugh).

I’ve probably never lived inside until I came into a shelter, so my family will need some patience while I learn what is acceptable for me to do.

Most hounds like to get up high, so all tables are fair game to be stood on; we are scent hounds and definitely let our nose lead us everywhere; I am an excellent counter-surfer! All trash cans must be thoroughly inspected, as well.

I probably will not be good off leash, and could easily be lost if allowed to roam freely. I walk wonderfully on leash, though. I came here with heartworms and have been through treatment for them, as well as being neutered and up to date on vaccines.
