Science and Philosophy Seminar of the Eastern Shore of Virginia has scheduled a seminar, “Osteoporosis: When You Need Treatment, and When You Don’t.” The free 90-minute seminar will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, December 9 in the Lecture Hall of the Eastern Shore Community College, 29300 Lankford Hwy, Melfa, VA 23410.
Paul Rochmis will lead the Seminar and discuss how patients are treated with medication because the words “osteoporosis” or “osteopenia” were seen in a report, but how the real issue is the risk of bone fragility fracture, and how this risk is evaluated, and then minimized.
Rochmis is a retired rheumatologist who worked in Northern Virginia.
