Town adds new staff members

The Town of Cape Charles has added new staff, and filled some much needed vacancies.

Will Garrett is the latest Police Officer for the Town of Cape Charles, joining the department on March 31st. Officer Garrett has worked previously as a Deputy Sheriff for Northampton County and has been in law enforcement most of his career, including the U.S. Department of Defense. Officer Garrett
and is also certified in training and instruction.


Debbie Caton joined the Finance Department on March 31st as the Bookkeeper. She brings much-needed accounting experience as well as education and credentials to the position.


Allyson Finchum joined the Town on June 29th as the Town Planner/Zoning
Administrator. Prior to coming to Cape Charles, she was the Town Manager/Zoning Administrator for the Town of Port Royal. She has a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and over 20 years of experience in public administration.


Paul Flory joined the Town on July 28th as the Part-Time Water Plant Operator. Mr. Flory has begun working diligently to learn all he can about the operation of the water plant. Paul has a very impressive career mostly
surrounding marine activities including being a diver for Seaward Marine Services as well as a machinist for Oceaneering International. Paul is a Veteran, having served in the US Navy and on the Seal Team with the Navy Reserves.
