Town holds reception to allow citizens group to voice concerns about concrete plant

September 13, 2020 by Wayne Creed 16 Comments

The local citizen’s group that is aggressively fighting the noise made by local Northampton jobs being performed by Northampton locals at the Coastal Precast Systems concrete plant, continue to question the plant’s management.

The Town sponsored a reception for the managers/owners of Coastal Precast Systems. The goal was to give the plant a chance to explain to the group how they are working to make their retirement lives less stressful.

The “reception” gave the citizens a chance voice concerns about the work being performed by Northampton locals and is taking place across the harbor on private, industrially zoned land.

‘Town holds reception to allow citizens group to voice concerns about concrete plant’

These people have lost their collective minds. Real Estate Brokers and the Agents that carry their water brought these people to your home. Remember that when one wants to borrow a tool to finish a project. I can think of one in particular that does not even need to work. He has retirement checks coming in and his fingers in other pies. But the work of bringing this element to our home, he does willingly.

Northampton County needs those jobs. We already lost the hospital to Accomack County. That concrete plant has been operational since before construction of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Most of our young people leave the Shore after high school and we need the jobs they provide. Please practice tolerance.

Selfish people, this place gives jobs to many locals. It was devastating to many many families when Bay Shore Concrete closed a few years ago. Get some ear plugs and deal with it. These people are just trying to feed their families, would you prefer for them to get on assistance?

They do not care about locals or their families. They only care about the world they have created for themselves. They expect dumb locals to be excited about all the changes they have made. I wish they had stayed where they were and changed what they did not like about it so they did not even consider coming in the first place. I would rather see a ghost town of locals than a little cape cod of come-heres.

The noise is sweet compared to when it use to be a fish Plant. I am sure the employees who are part of the noise wish they could retire and complain also. We want our economy to grow and in this case working in the plant is a big part of that.

That whole concept of that sentence is backwards. No One, I repeat No One gives a Damn about their retirement lives or their stress. Who the hell do they think they are?

My God! What have these real estate brokers/agents brought to our homeland?

Dear Lord, the ignorance is astonishing.

    PEOPLE OF THE EASTERN SHORE!!

Come here’s are NOT ON THE PLANNING BOARD, THE ZONING BOARDS OR THE TOWN COUNCIL.

LOCALS HAVD VOTED IN ALL THE THINGS YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT.

All we do is pay taxes, spend money and try to live our lives. Gee, what the hell would you all do if ya didn’t have us to blame all your problems on?

LOCALS HAV DONE EVERYTHING YOU ARE WHINING ABOUT, NOT NEWBIES.

OK, Stuie, now rebut the truth of my statement, instead of ad hominem.

        Can’t, can you?

        So you insult.

BTW, left a few years back. Couldn’t stand watching the destruction of a town I liked.

If you buy a retirement home next to Oceania and then expect those wonderful jets to stop the training for the protection and security of this country, then there is absolutely no doubt that your mother raised a horses’ ass. It does not matter what cost your home or where you came from.
Is this not the exact same question with a slightly different topic ? It’s the economy stupid. We all need this source of income.
At the same time do what y’all can to respect and set boundaries.
