Two sites on the Eastern Shore, the Wagner borrow pit and the Webster Canning property were hoping to obtain up to 700,000 cubic yards of dredge spoils. These sites were hoping to be used to facilitate the timely construction of the Parallel Thimble Shoal Tunnel at the CBBT.
The Wagner Borrow Pit and the former Webster Cannery have been removed from the JPA as material disposal placement sites. The JPA is still in the process of preparing its Dredge Material Management Plan which is designed to minimize environmental issues. Due to those concerns, the Eastern Shore has been removed from consideration.

There are more Septic Systems failing in Northampton County on a Monthly basis Plus Leaching from Public Sewage Plants plus Chicken waste into the Ground water system . The dredging of the bay is a miniscule Amount of contaminated material To be deposited on the County Land I would suggest investigating the Euro tunnel some 27 miles long Then there is the 60 mile Tunnel 120 feet deep in the uk
