CAPE CHARLES, Va. — In response to ongoing concerns regarding short-term rental (STR) issues within the community, the Cape Charles Town Council has announced a town hall-style meeting scheduled for April 29th at the Civic Center. The meeting is set to commence at 6:00 pm and will serve as a platform for open dialogue and discussion on this pressing matter.
Town hall meetings are informal gatherings designed to facilitate open, back-and-forth exchanges among community members and local officials. During such meetings, no official action can be taken; rather, the primary focus is to gather input, exchange information, and address questions raised by attendees.
For the convenience of residents unable to attend in person, the meeting will be livestreamed on Facebook. Additionally, individuals wishing to provide input or pose questions in advance may do so by submitting written comments to the Town Clerk no later than one hour before the meeting. Comments can be emailed to clerk@capecharles.org or physically dropped off at Town Hall, located at 2 Plum Street.
The Cape Charles Town Council encourages all stakeholders to actively participate in this important discussion to collectively address STR concerns and work towards viable solutions for the community’s benefit.
