Nassawadox, VA – Sheriff David Doughty presented a donation to Riverside Shore Hospice in the amount of $7,000. The gift was raised by the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office through their 14th annual Charity Golf Tournament. Proceeds from the tournament were also distributed to the Randy Custis Memorial Fund.
Riverside Shore Hospice will apply the funding toward its Camp Fragile Hearts for local youth who have been affected by the loss of a loved one. The one day camp is free, and transportation to the camp is also free. Campers enjoy traditional camp activities along with specialized programs to help them cope with grief and loss and help them move forward. The 2016 camp will be held on October 1st at the YMCA Camp Silver Beach in Jamesville.
