7 thoughts on “‘Small Dick Gang’ building gets a makeover

  1. I think it’s wonderful that the childish and ignorant language has been removed from this building. I think it has helped remove a blemish on the community. Now if we could just have the same thing happen in The Mirror we’d have the same results. One can see positive results w/o repeating the slimy words. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander, no ?
It’s not an insult Wayne. It’s a disagreement of editorial policy.

Note: The LDG are American Heros.

    1. I ALWAYS agree with MJM’s comments, but regarding the subject of this article, the most outlandish element of the “artists”‘ vandalism was its prominent signature, “Small Dick Gang”. To ignore it in the editorial would transform its entire subject to the pablum-like articles found in the Eastern Shore Post. The Mirror is not afraid to stick a finger in anyone’s eye when such an action is warranted. I think the article becomes funnier upon re-reading, and it certainly has generated a healthy group of comments. Ignoring the three “offending” words would border on the censorious PC verbiage that afflicts the media at present.

  2. This article gives attention to a disgusting group of kids whose vandalizing behavior deserves no attention at all. Parr and the owners should also be ashamed of themselves for how long the vandalism was there for all to see.

  3. Vandals will do what vandals do. If the owner will not cover the graffiti and monitor his property to prevent additional defacings, the local jurisdiction, whether Cheriton or Northampton County, should attach liens to the property, making this kind of neglect expensive. Northampton seems to know only how to oversee decrepit property and to attach additional taxes to whatever productive activity it can. Of course, the poor will remain, the well-to-do will continue to isolate themselves, and the County will continue to lose population.

  4. I don’t mean to defend the spray paint, but it is better than the bomb threat a ‘Little’ graduate called in to Northampton High School in the late 80’s. He is now a cop and has worn many different badges. I guess the topic never came up in his job interviews.
